JS ACSIS
We host junior school ACSIS on Jan. 31
Many of you know this is a big meet that needs many helpers to make it work properly.
We are hiring timers once again, but I will need help with marshalling, results and medals. A separate email will go out about that in the coming week.
We expect over one thousand to attend including spectators. It will be a busy weekend at Dover because the school fair is on, along with SEASAC Rugby/Touch
SNAGS
Getting a response from Singapore Swimming is proving to be a slow proposition. Their calendar online only runs until Dec. 2014, and we have not received the Meet Pack for the 2015 SNAGS. Without this, we don't know who has made the qualifying times for the meet. I hope that they will be back in the office this week and will provide this ASAP. You will see a post as soon as the information comes to hand.
Spring Break Camps
We will look to offer two camps during Spring Break.
Dover Camp - Saturday March 28- Tuesday March 31. We will have two sessions daily: the morning focussing on "training" - endurance, speed etc, the afternoon on skills - starts, turns and technique - sign-up here
Phuket Camp - This will run from Monday to Friday March 30-April 3 and will be held at Thanyapura Resort. The camp will include two daily swims, some yoga, stand-up-paddling, running, dryland, and some free-time. Swimmers will need to be accompanied by a parent or be supervised by another swimmer's parent.
Parents will be welcome to join in any of the camp activities. The cost is still in the works.
If you would like to sign-up for this camp/ to receive more information, click here
12/U Meet
I will advertise this meet to other teams during JS ACSIS. This will be a single year age group meet with heats and finals.
I am still looking for a title sponsor!! If anyone has a contact in an organisation that would benefit from being involved with a healthy event like this, please pass along their details. Any profit from this meet will go toward the purchase of touch pads.
Team Caps

Morning Practices
Practices START at 5:30am and 6:00am depending on the squad.
Please ensure that you arrive 5-10 minutes before this time. It has been common to have swimmers arriving up to 15 minutes late. This is disruptive to the swimmers that are on-time, it effects the quality of the warmup, and takes the attention of the coaches away from the water to re-explain the set.
If swimmers are not in the water after 10 minutes, we have begun giving punishments...anyone arriving after 15 minutes will not be allowed in the water and will need to sit in the grandstand and watch.
Please set your alarms early enough that you will be a little early - imagine you have a flight to catch!
