Junior School ACSIS - Results and Thanks

Huge thanks to the people that made today's meet slicker than anything I've seen so far in Singapore. From our parents welcoming the 1200+ visitors at the gate, to our Senior Swimmers who I won't name in case I miss someone out - you were all instrumental in making today run smoothly and possibly -  most importantly - FAST!
I have to make special mention of Catherine Strand who managed marshaling tent 2 today, checking and ensuring the kids were in the right lanes, then feeding them on to the deck at the right time to keep things moving. Unfortunately for Catherine, she did such a great job, she might be stuck with it! Janice did a fantastic job managing what is not an ideal timing system, that frequently misses times. We are all looking forward to a new system.
Our coaching staff managed our kids beautifully, and have prepared them well with 30 of the 36 swimmers posting PBs.

Now, congratulations to our girls who won the team gold medal. A commanding performance across a variety of events. We have the potential amongst this group to grow into a squad who dominates in the senior ranks in years to come. What we are not doing right now is treating our young swimmers like senior swimmers and asking crazy mileage and attendance to get results - this is a trap I have seen many fall in to. We still see success with good technique focus and age appropriate mileage progressions.

Thanks to all of the parents for supporting the kids and the program so far this year! See you Monday!
