Why: Why not!!! Another chance to race, and to improve
Here is something to aim for!
- Age groups (in years of age at the date of the meet) 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8/U
- The meet will be short course.
- Each swimmer will be allowed to swim an Individual Medley and three other strokes - a limit of four events.
- There will also be a 14/U 400m Fr/S and a 12/U 200m Fr/S that will not count for the championship but a separate trophy.
- 13 & 14 years swimmers will swim 100m (three of four strokes) and a 200m IM
- 12yrs and under will swim 50m (three of four strokes) and a 100m IM
- Points are scored as follows 20, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Age group champions will keep their trophy for a year and have their name engraved into its base - it will then be passed on the following year to the new champion
