The week that was - Mar. 9-15

Junior and Senior Greens are all improving but some are doing it faster than others.  The improvers are those that store and use the information given, work hard at training and they are also the ones that train consistently. Training is 3 or 4 times a week; you must do 3 or 4 sessions a week, making up the sessions when  missed. If swimmers are going to progress through the squads, consistence is a must. You can not get better at anything with a 'hit and a miss' attitude.

In Junior Greens, Axel has found that a go hard attitude in training produces results. Imogen found out that, with a little more effort, she can lead a lane and keep up with some of the speedsters . Amara found she can produce a quality dive.

Senior Greens Izzy Lambrou is always  on time, consistent at training, and it is starting to show results. Leo has worked it out that a little more effort pays off too.

The only other thing to mention is club night Tuesday which I am very much looking forward to.

The Senior Gold swimmers have been a little scarce this week. They have started a new strength training cycle, leaving a few bodies sore. We will see gains quite quickly as many exercises need the nervous system to kick in and supply balance and stability - fortunately, the nervous system is a good guy and likes to play ball. My swimmer of the week has been focussing on changing his technique in a big way, he is being open, and taking on feedback with positive action - good work Sebastiano!

Club Night Tuesday - see you there!
