The Week That Was...

A busy week was had looking at swimmers' ability to complete the sets we have created as criteria for next year's squads. These Squad Lists will be posted as soon as I receive the last groupings from the coaches - many of the swimmers will have a TBC (To be confirmed) next to their
name - this means they haven't yet been assessed. There is no stress for anyone not having done their assessment. This is really just giving you all a heads up for next year so that you will know what to sign-up for.
We have nearly finished collecting over-due fees. I've still got to chase up a few entries.

Next week (Wednesday 17) we have our Pool Party and Prize Giving - We will present our Club Champions with their Trophies and I'd like to acknowledge our award winners from the Sports Awards - most of our swimmers don't get to
attend this event, so we have a chance to congratulate the swimmers once more.
Please sign-up for the party HERE - please bring something to share with others.

This week ((8-13) there will be no land training, so everyone will swim. This is also the last week of regular swimming.

Next week (15-19) we will swim a little, but play water polo and probably do a few bombs from the diving boards at morning practices only - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 6-7:30am. There is no swimming next week afternoons, except for the pool party

As many of you may have now heard, my father unfortunately lost his battle with cancer last weekend (31st). I'm now in NZ and will be here for his funeral next weekend. I was incredibly fortunate to get home last month to see him one last time  - with my brother - we hadn't been home together as a family for over fifteen years.

A big thank you to coaches Alex, Pete, Monica and Henry for covering for me again!
