Movement within Squads for Season Three

With Season Three approaching we are almost ready for sign ups. Through our upcoming evolution of the development structure we are aiming to promote participation and reward personal commitment. Those athletes wishing, willing, and able to commit to the training opportunities within any given group will be allocated slots accordingly.

Any MS/HS swimmer currently in Senior Squad or in Senior D who, as stated above, is "wishing, willing, and able to commit to the training opportunities" in Senior squad will be welcome to join and train as a team/squad member. Swimmers who would rather stick to the one, two, or three sessions each week and have no expectation to compete will still be able to swim in SwimFit. If at anytime in the future, a swimmer wishes to increase their commitment to the sport from SwimFit, we will make a pathway for that to happen.We will discuss this on Thursday with the swimmers directly, and again next week as we cover all of the swimmers to whom this may apply.

For Season Three:
Current members of Junior Squads are currently undergoing assessment so that we can communicate correct grouping for Season Three by the beginning of next week.

We are also looking to offer swimmers the opportunity of moving up squads in the Senior Squad structure. 





As we continue developing the structure into the 4th season and beyond we will be focusing on introducing a new working syllabus with built in motivational targets to our training regimen. This will help clarify progression levels and develop focused confident athletes through robustly structured training opportunities.




Dolphins Squad Attendance Requirements:
Training requirements: Min of 2 sessions per week

Orcas Squad Attendance Requirements:
Training requirements: Min of 3 sessions per week

Sharks Squad Attendance Requirements:
Training requirements: Min of 4 sessions per week

Senior Squad Attendance Requirements:
Training requirements: Min of 4 sessions per week

National Age Squad Attendance Requirements:
Training requirements: Min of 5 sessions per week

High Performance Squad Attendance Requirements:
Training requirements: Min of 8 sessions per week


Attendance to most/all of Club Nights and Swim Meets (conflicts are understood) is expected for all squads listed above.
