The Week AHead...

We had a great CNY camp - I know the swimmers who participated definitely came away tired!
During camp used our swimpro cameras on a few occasions to see what our underwater skills look like - either the cameras were broken of we have some more work to do!
We attended the February Invitational on Saturday and saw some great swims! Very pleasing and a little surprising after such a heavy week. Also pleasing was the improvement in skills from the beginning of camp through to race day.

We begin a three week block now to SEASAC (four to SNAGS). Swimmers will see a gradual reduction in the number of hard long sets, but increased intensity during some sessions. We'll also have our IM swimmers swimming lots of IMs.
It is especially important to watch your diets as with a decrease in volume, we will not burn as much fuel, so a little more care with the quality of food is needed; poor fuel = poor performance.

My swimmer of the week is Mattis Nurit. He was far and away the best "team member" on Saturday, supporting every swimmer that hit the water, spending a very long time on his feet and in the sun on the end of the pool cheering. Well done!

SEASON THREE SCHEDULE STARTS MONDAY
