I have the news you've all been waiting for...who is the new guy?
I'm very excited to be able to introduce the Dover Phoenix Head Coach from 2016-17 - Kristopher Gilchrist - Bio
Kris is an Olympian, former world champion, Commonwealth Games swimmer, and has been fast tracked into coaching by British Swimming because of his leadership abilities. He has been the GB captain and is well known for his energy and sense of humour.
I'm excited about Kris taking over as I think he will take the Phoenix to the next level. He is a guy that values "TEAM" and had an interesting journey through his swimming career - it wasn't until Kris was 19 that he developed as a top class swimmer.
We hope to see Kris before the end of this school year for a short visit, and pending the usual Singapore permits and visas being processed will join us next school year
