We've just finished the Jr. SNAGS. On top of the great swims and energy from our swimmers, most pleasing for me was the independence and confidence that the swimmers were able to display. From attending meets; seeing what the older swimmers do, and from the National Time Trials in particular, we have seen a vast improvement in pre-race routines, race structure and execution, and post-race routines. Fantastic!
I don't have official results yet so won't single out top performers until I can accurately list each swimmer's achievements.
Thanks to the parents who also braved the heat inside the Aquatic Centre and made plenty of noise when our swimmers hit the water.
This week we will have a full schedule of practices for junior squads Dolphins, Orcas, and Sharks).
Senior Squads (Seniors, Nat. Age, and HP) will not train Thursday, Friday, or Saturday morning.
Sr. SNAGS start Wednesday evening with the 1500m events and continue Thursday-Sunday morning with prelims.
There are many foreign swimmers (only two foreigners/event) so making finals may be a little less daunting than the psych sheets look at first glance.
Lets now focus on the Dragon's Den Meet - remember to get your entries in through Team Unify. Results from SNAGS will be updated as the files arrive from SSA.
