Looking Ahead

Welcome Back!
I hope everyone has been busy relaxing, or busy studying for upcoming exams - either way, you should be well prepared to begin school once more.

The weeks prior to the break were hectic with a number of weeks with consecutive meets - all of which I am very happy with results. We also had a great camp here at Dover and another in Phuket during the break.

At this level, we are never done, and improvement and learning should still be our focus. We've got an opportunity to grow stronger with three more months of good work before summer break.
We can also refocus on our basic skills of push-offs, underwater work, breakouts, turns, and finishes. You wouldn't believe the number of times we (our team) finished with an extra stroke when it counted (SEASAC and SNAGS)...and lost a place or a milestone time due to this. What is most frustrating is the time that we have taken in reminding swimmers to practice these skills EVERY TIME they finish a repeat - EVERY DAY. Lets get this right!

We also have a few events to go for this year's calendar - Club Night this Friday (will include a few fun races) - sign up through TeamUnify. Some work needs to be done to remove some underwater lights before we can use the pads - hopefully this will be done this week.

Saturday we host the Ocean Paradise Novice Meet. We will need our Senior/National Age/HP swimmers to officiate for this - 8:00am-1:00pm. SEE AARON TO SIGN-UP to help.

Next week is the Dragon's Den meet and HS Sports Awards.

Sign-up for Season Four has opened now - please ensure you register accurately for your practices in the school activities system.
Practices are as usual this week except Saturday due to the Novice Meet

See you on deck!
