I've noticed a huge improved in our junior swimming program. Coach Henry has done a great job with his groups. They all have good lane etiquette and come to swim ready to improve.
We saw over 100 of these swimmers compete in the first Ocean Paradise Novice Meet. This type of meet fits the Long-term Athlete Development (LTAD) model that we are following - less focus on winning but rather on enjoying the event and racing for improvement. Our young swimmers did swim very well and looked to have enjoyed their meet.
Big thanks to the HP & Nat. Age swimmers who officiated and encouraged the young swimmers.
We also ran an IM Mix Meet for Club Night.
The timing system looked great and performed equally as well. We has a wide age range attend which is why we run these events.
We are looking forward to a strong meet this coming weekend at UWC EAST as they host their second Dragon's Den meet with teams competing from all over Asia.
The HS Sports Awards are on Friday evening here at school - swimmers considering dropping their swims at Dragon's Den to attend should SWIM!
