The Weeks That Were

Two weeks of news, and not too many specific details.
We had success at the Bintan Triathlon: Eve Singer – 2nd Female, Teddy Lee, 3rd in his age group, Mae Singer 1st in her age group, Olivia Faneco – 3rd in her age group and Piper Lloyd - 3rd in her age group. Well done also to the many parents that participated – I understand there were podiums there too!!!
I’ve just spent the weekend in KL with my daughter’s touch team.  It was really cool seeing all of the UWC girls playing for their clubs; particularly Alexandra, Jemima, (Jacob was there playing rugby), and the Van der Kam girls.

This week is “make-up week” for our development program. All competitive squads continue as usual through this week including Saturday.
We have Club Night Monday from 3:15pmà
We’ll have pizza and drinks – entry is $5
I get to work with Dolphins or Orcas this week with Henry and Alex - Monica is in the UK (just a couple of weeks early), and Gordon has departed.
We will have the inflatable in the pool this week.
June 13-17, HP/ Nat. Age will only run in the mornings – we are having so few in the afternoons, more often that not, we have no one show at all.
Friday June 17 is the last day of swimming (this is a one week bonus as all other sports will have finished on the 10th).
We have our last session for the year with Tony and Valerie this week – Retro Tuesday, and Hippy Thursday. Themed dress code for both!

Congratulations to swimmers finishing their exams. It has been great to see so many of you using the morning session to kick start your day as you have all year. We all know how much research has shown that starting the day with exercise boosts brain function. From what I have heard of results, it has worked - our swimmers have excelled.

We have just a few sessions left, so make the most of what you can learn, and the time that you have left this year with your swim family.

Please remember to sign up for camps if you will attend.

Have a great week!
