SEASAC - the conclusion

This is my first SEASAC. It was hard to know how different SEASAC will look compared to any other championship meet. This was no normal championship meet - it was a regular meet where we rushed from event to event with no time to rest. It was different to all the other SEASACs before, because of the change in time format from two days to one and a half days. It was cold too!!!!

This changes the expectations going in to the meet - not as much time to recover, more events in one day etc. When we look at our individual results you wouldn't notice - we had a large group who swam 100% PBs. That is six individual events plus four relays - all best times.
We also had swimmers swimming their races with maturity and pacing. We had team spirit with vocal swimmers and parents, and a couple of noisy instruments thrown in. Our senior swimmers were inclusive of all team members, being good role models and setting fine examples.

The team also had fun - maybe most important of all!
