The Week Ahead - October 26

I can't quite believe what I am seeing outside!
As we resume this week, we will continue to train every morning, regardless of haze, unless notified on the night before - this will only be in the case of no available facilities. Anyone from our competitive squads is able to join morning sessions regardless of whether or not you have signed up. We are certainly lower in numbers for our junior groups this year during morning sessions!!!

On Friday, I will take a team to race at Dulwich - this would be a great hit-out the night before Tanglin (Saturday). There is a short event schedule so no chance of being tired!

Saturday sees our first big team meet of the year at the OCBC pool, hosted by TTS Merlions. After the preparation we have had leading up to this meet, no one has expectations of personal best times, but we do want to see RACING! It is all about giving 100% at this meet, and seeing if you can be better at swimming the event (race plan, pacing, skills) than last time you swam (way back in May or June).

Upcoming meets
We have a couple of meets that will require selection.
This is going to be harder than normal due to our lack of racing. We will use previous results plus our observations of training attitude, attendance, and performance to choose teams for these meets

Information regarding the postponed Phoenix Meet, Club Night, and our Novice Meet will be sent Monday evening.

Coach Pete is at home attending to some matters for a couple more weeks, so we have Gordon now looking after those groups.

See you on Deck!
