This week was pretty quiet, but at the same time very intensive.
We had a few good sessions with the seniors, they've been more focused than last week, but still need to work on their speed, endurance and streamline push offs.
I'm so pleased with my junior squad, they always listen carefully, trying hard and getting better after every single session. Well done guys.
I believe that next week at the junior ACSIS, the kids are going to show some very fast and impressive times/races. All the hard work must pay off.
Thank you to coach Aaron, that now we've got new diving blocks, which means we can polish our starts and get more accurate and professional from the blocks.
Wednesday regular breaststroke session went really well, you guys are working so hard, I could see some pretty fast times, but the most impressive were our still junior swimmer, Rias times. Good job!
My goal was to teach you how to hold time and technique, personally, i think it's one of the most important skills, while you are racing or doing trainings on a high speed.
I'm looking forward to next week ACSIS meets, I hope the weather will be nice to us and we can enjoy our great competitions.
See you tomorrow,
The best training week since I arrived!
The National Age and High Performance squads have been improving dramatically over the past few weeks and tackled three tough sets this week, showing courage and grit. I hope they are excited to race in the upcoming meets - they should be confident in their preparation - I'm excited!
The Dolphins, Orcas, and Sharks all look to be improving. I had a good look on Thursday, and the pool was full of energy.
Once again we saw a nice turn out of juniors on Saturday and enjoyed a relay together to finish off the week.

We had a team hangout for the SEASAC team on Friday. Despite the deluge, we made a quick venue change (thanks Stephanie Besse!!!) and enjoyed getting to know each other a bit better. Another example of the great work the captains have done with coordination of that event.
This week we have MS ACSIS - see psych sheets here - at Nexus on Saturday, and JS ACSIS at Dover on Sunday - entries will be sent Monday along with team instructions for those events.
We will also be taking entries this week for the National Time Trials on February 19-21. If you think you will be close to qualifying for the SNAGS - see qualifying times here - we would like you to give this event a shot!
