Although we have not received specific meet information yet, we would like to gauge interest in the 2017 Feeding Frenzy meet that takes place in Bangkok in December (8-11). This will allow flights to be 'reserved'.
This does not indicate a definite intention to attend the competition, however we will be able to minimise costs by having an early idea of numbers.
It is our intention to travel on Friday morning (to arrive in time to compete in the Friday afternoon session), and to depart Bangkok on Monday morning (so as not to miss Sunday evening events). This of course will mean that swimmers will likely miss 2 full days of school, and should be taken in to consideration when deciding to attend.
We are setting a lower age limit of 9 years (at age of meet). We had several 9 year olds travel with the team last year, and all seemed to have a very positive experience.
Swimmers may also travel and stay with parents, and this can be indicated on the 'note of interest' form.
We will still be recommending a lower age limit of 9 years for this option. (Please not that parents and those not staying with the team will not be able to stay in the same hotel, as it is usually reserved for travelling school teams).
