First of all, thank you to the parents who helped today with timekeeping and marshalling. I think we may have shown the other teams how to run a quick meet - it certainly was a tad quicker than one event that we endured a few weeks back.
Though I didn't see much swimming myself, and wasn't expecting the swimmers that I coach to swim fast after two weeks of very hard work; the feedback from the coaches was that our swimmers were executing the skills they have been working, well.
The real positive was that the junior swimmers were coming back with knowledge that they had done tight streamlines, had three fast dolphin kicks, and sometimes even breathed ofter their first stroke! - they were focussed!
There was very good spirit shown again by the Phoenix! Having the meet run at this speed, makes it hard to support your team mates because the next event comes up so quick; but thanks to some shopping done by Sasza and JC, there were pom poms and other "hype gear" to go around.
The team of Henry and Janice did very well to get the results as they came in, although our poor old Dolphin System couldn't quite keep up with the quick pace, and meant that they had to re-check all of the times after the meet.
Congratulations to everyone!
