Key Pillars of Junior Swimming
Focused practice is a sure fire way to see success. Focused athletes create focused practice.
Must Do Technical Pointers
The first rule of fast swimming is SWIM STRAIGHT. Strong kick and balanced strokes keep you moving in line.
Steady Head = Balanced Body
Wherever your head goes your body follows. Keep it steady and stable and you will flow through the water with ease.
Programme Focus
We are continue to develop our legs and this week will see fast repeats. Speedy quick kicks from our speedy quick swimmers

First of all, I would like to congratulate our high school (a few middle and junior school) swimmers for an amazing ACSIS meet. It was great to see how much more serious, focused and mentaly prepared we were during the meet. I'm thankful that we can benefit from the programs created by Tony and Valerie Faneco.

I know everyone was very tired, sore and sleepy yesterday, but as soon as we jumped into the pool, we forgot about the pain and mental blocks, so thats why we could race hard.
Well done to everybody, big applause to the captains and as usually thank you for our parents support.
Overall I am glad with our performance, I would like to ask everyone to set weekly goals, always try to have healthier snacks, more fruits and good quality lunches, during school hours. Also, drink more water, take supplements (vitamins and minerals), to prevent injuries, cramps and unnecessary aches.
Have a nice rest of the weekend, be prepared to train even harder for the next couple of weeks.

We just completed a very intensive week. Less volume but much more time spent at race pace. We also saw one of the toughest land workouts of the year...and then we raced...well.
While I am incredibly pleased with our progress, I am also very conscious of the need to push on and reassess personal goals. Our team goal hasn't changed. Be the best international program in the world. To do this, we MUST learn from our successes and failures, enjoy the improvement, and then get on with working toward further improvement.
I can't say how pleased I am of the attitude and spirit that was shown on Saturday. Our captains have done a great job and the team looked and sounded like a team.
In my introductory meeting last year, I said that team culture was essential to a successful team. We are seeing half of what we need...the feeling of team. The second part is coming along. This is the culture of work (technique, intensity, turns, streamlines etc) responsiblity for daily performance in practice( to be better than yesterday), punctuality, and attendance

Let's see just how good we can be this year!
Congrats to the girls for placing 3rd on Saturday. Considering the age of our team, this is a very good result.
