Over the next two seasons, the groupings and criteria will be altered a little to best serve our swimmers and our goals. For now, we have the following guidelines for our Senior Squads
SENIOR GREEN
Training requirements: Min of 3 sessions per week
Squad description:
1. Middle/Senior School swimmers participating in this squad would be swimmers who are keen on participating on a competitive level for the school. Swimmers in this squad would consist of swimmers progressing up from the junior squad and also the pre competitive squad.
2. Swimmers in this squad would be focuing on all 4 strokes coupled with some endurance sets to further prep the swimmers to accomplish a good 200 Individual Medley.
3. Participate in competitive level meets (e.g. Club Nights, Swim Invitational, Dual Meets, ACSIS and SEASAC)
SENIOR BLUE
Training requirements: Min of 3 sessions per week
Squad description:
1. Middle/Senior School swimmers participating in this squad would be swimmers who are already swimming competitively and potentially have the drive and motivation to further excel in swimming. Swimmers in this squad would consist of swimmers vying towards Singapore National Age Group Qualifying times.
2. Swimmers in this squad would be focusing on the endurance and speed aspects of training to further improve their overall swimming standard. Focus would be towards a strong endurance and strength based training. With an emphasis as well on swimming specific dry-land exercises
3. Participate in competitive level meets (e.g. Club Nights, Swim Invitational, Dual Meets, ACSIS and SEASAC)
SENIOR GOLD
Training requirements: Min of 5 sessions per week
Squad description:
1. Middle/Senior School swimmers participating in this squad would have competitively swimming for the team and have attained the time standard to be in Gold. Swimmers in this group would also be gearing towards placing top 16 of the Singapore National Age Groups (Senior) level.
2. Swimmers would be focusing all 3 main aspects of this squad - endurance, speed and physical strength building specific to swimming. All swimmers in this group must be able to handle the physical demands of the training programme both in the pool and out.
3. Participate in competitive level meets (e.g. Club Nights, Swim Invitational, Dual Meets and ACSIS)
