There are than seven weeks until SEASAC, Next weekend is the final selection for the last slot on the team at the SAS Varsity Duel Meet - MS ACSIS the following weekend also gives some swimmers another opportunity to prove they deserve the spot on the team.
For me Saturday is a key workout. Swimmers are out of the water until Monday morning at best - that is if they attended Friday's practice. They have time to relax after the workout, and we have a little more time (2.5 hours) to complete sets that often get 'revised' on the fly during the week.
As many parent swill hopefully have heard, we began using our new boxing equipment this week as a dryland activity - due to the rain, we got to do it more often than I expected. We all know boxers are some of the fittest athletes on the planet. It is the speed/power, use of core muscles, and variety that we are looking to gain from boxing. A little fun doesn't hurt either.

Any swimmer who wishes to take part in the pre- National Age Group Time Trials at the OCBC Center on Jan. 24/25 need to email me their entries this weekend.
Reminder that Blue Team Caps are now required at meets - please make sure you have one of those BEFORE race day! All goggle choices for these meets should also be made and worn BEFORE race day.
